Ensure all your favorite meals come out extra tasty with a homemade spice mix recipe. The way you prepare your meat and fish is very important, but so is the seasoning you use. Seasoning is what gives a dish flavor and texture.
If you have a favorite store-bought or homemade spice mix that works for you, you can always keep using the same seasoning or try mixing it up a bit. Spice blends are exciting because in addition to making food tasty, they can be adapted to seasons, holidays and various cuisines.
My grandma’s spice mix recipe is super simple and delicious. I make a huge batch at once and store it to use in all sorts of different recipes. It’s great for summer barbecues, over meat, fish and even potatoes. This spice mix recipe goes great in salad dressings, so it’s perfect for the hot days ahead. I suggest you make more than one batch, store it in a glass jar in the spice cabinet or in the freezer for extra freshness.
