There are secrets behind this snap of a pool in Cuba. Secrets that will never be divulged. The images from Sutton’s trip to Cuba kicked off the beginning of a new artistic trajectory on which she would begin to digitally pixilate her photos, project and trace the image onto a canvas and then recolour the image as she paints it. Inspired by having fallen in love for the first time since her divorce, Nobody Knows marks Sutton’s new way of breaking down compositions and recalibrating them for greater visual enjoyment. In Nobody Knows, the water reflection detail alone took over 300 hours of meticulous work.
