Serendipity

This custom painting was commissioned by the world famous Serendipity restaurant, in honor of their 30 millionth Frrrozen Hot Chocolate sold. 

The Serendipity restaurant holds a special place in my heart. Growing up in New York City and being a resident upper east sider, I always popped into Serendipity for a sweet treat. This artwork brings back the nostalgia of childhood and historic cultural roots of NYC. As a mom, I love to go with my kids in the hopes of creating that same sort of magical and nostalgic feeling for them - the sweet smell of sugar entering your nostrils the second you walk in the door. If you’re not familiar, Serendipity has a long history in the arts and creative spheres. Andy Warhol, Marilyn Monroe, Cher, Selena Gomez are amongst the many celebrities who would spend time in the space feeling inspired and delighting in their sweets. Being commissioned to create an artistic version of their iconic Frrrozen Hot Chocolate, incorporating other famous elements from the restaurant, including their crystal Tiffany lamps, the clock, and the unicorn wall has truly been an honor. The result is a gorgeous, colorful, mixed media, acrylic, and glitter on wood artwork that is now proudly displayed in their front window.
